The South Bay Women’s Network (SBWN) is a group of professional women in Los Osos and Baywood Park, CA, supporting each other’s career growth and connecting personally in the community. Iron Dog Media provides website design and maintenance service for the group, and has done so since 2012. The latest effort was a redesign of the group’s website with a main goal of creating a responsive design that better showcased the group’s work in the community and highlighted the membership directory. Each member of the group has the option to post an image and public biographical data for everyone to see. Privately, members can share information about their hobbies and interests to make connecting with each other easier. Other key focus areas for the redesign effort were to make it easier for members to login to the site and change their professional and personal information, as well as to make it easier for the site administrator to post news and events related to the group’s activities. A ticket reservation system was implemented to allow SBWN members to purchase tickets for themselves and guests to the monthly luncheon and also to the annual events hosted by the group.
